Features of this course

  • Learn exam techniques and become completely familiar with the test. The test assesses your proficiency in the four macro skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening.
  • Increase oral and written range of vocabulary. Vocabulary plays an important role across all four macro skills and students are encouraged to increase their knowledge by recording unfamiliar words, taking risks and applying newly learned words in their writing and speaking.
  • Opportunity to practice exam tasks with our PTE academic sample question papers.
  • Plenty of occasions in class to discuss issues arising from various texts, which also helps vocabulary development as well as exam practice.

Course Content

Develop understanding of and become familiar with the test format.
Develop such strategies as reading for gist and detail to improve overall comprehension skills.  Learn how to use existing knowledge of grammar and vocabulary to help complete the integrated reading tasks.
Develop aural comprehension strategies through practice with an assortment of text types and listening to a variety of speakers.
Weekly tests in speaking, vocabulary and grammar and tri-weekly tests in reading, writing and listening, allow for easy monitoring of progress and performance.
